Are you fed up of continuously waxing an shaving?

Do you suffer from ingrown hairs and want significant hair reduction?
If the answer is yes, you’ll be happy to know about the Elite (MPX) Laser. Many thanks to Cynosure for providing this powerful medical grade laser machine.
Who is it for?
The Elite MPX can be used on white to black skin, very safe and effectively.
Alexandrite Laser (Alex 755): Used on light caucasian skin to medium light skin tones.
ND YAG 1064 Laser: Used on Mediuim, brown, to black skin.
A qualified practitioner will decide which laser is most suitable for your individual skin color,
How does laser hair removal work?
The Elite Laser works by a Laser beam that penetrates through the skin, its enegy is converted into heat energy destroying the hair follicles. The Laser targets the dark pigment in the hair (Melanin cells) hence promoting hair reduction or permanent results.
4-8 treatments are recommended for Alexandrite 755 clients and 6-8 treatments are recommended for Nd Yag 1064 clients.
Disadvantages of laser hair treatments:
Laser will not work on white, grey, blonde, or red hairs. Therefore other methods such as electrolysis may be suitable to use.
You will not be able to wax, pluck, epilate or bleach the areas treated before or inbetween treatment. This is because these methods remove/lighten the root of the hair which is the main target for the Laser, so therefor it wouldn’t work effectively.
Also before or after Laser treatments you have to be very careful with sun exposure/ preferably avoid it all together. Any tan or sun exposure to the skin is very dangerous when having laser as it can result in pigmenting, bruising, burning, blistering or scabbing.
Advantages: Safe and quick procedure, Able to treat on black dark skin, powerful medical grade laser. Can also be used to treat pigmentation and varicose veins.
Long term results.
Does not cause ingrown hairs.
Easy maintenance. (After Full coarse would only need top ups once a year or less.)
IPL and Laser
The difference
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. This is not the same as laser and many companies fool customers by putting ‘IPL laser’ when really IPL is a type of light. This table below shows the difference between IPL and Laser.
IPL Laser
| Doesnt penetrate deep into tissue | Penetrates deep into tissue |
| Not so powerful, goes in different directions . | Very powerful, goes in 1 direction (more direct ) |
| not 1 colour | 1 colour |
IPL’s are not direct like laser beams, they are more generalised, therefore they go in many directions and target different components such as water, melanin, blood vessels in the skin. Where as, laser is direct and targets 1 thing, being melanin in the hair, which makes Laser properties beneficial for hair reduction. However, IPL’s are not useless, because of there properties, they are excellent for skin rejuvenation treatments.
